I’ve spent much of my career in enterprise software — the past 15 years for a noted internet company (Dyn) and a major cloud provider (Oracle). I was a key member of the team who grew an enterprise email delivery service that handled more than six billion emails a month.
And I led a cloud migration that moved that service from on-prem to cloud, along with several hundred customers — with zero downtime. When your project needs more than basic web development, you’ll have the same person doing the work.
That email service was so much more than a website. It had a console UI, an API for automation, and large subsystems for inbound and outbound SMTP services, caching layers, and bounce, spam complaint, unsubscribe, and engagement (open/click) handling. Hundreds of servers, over 20 hostclasses, millions of lines of code, and a promise of 99.9% uptime.
The migration involved capacity planning, compute and data storage planning, data migration in flight, operations and feature parity, and a phased plan that ensured a smooth transition while customers relied on the service. It was very much like a total rebuild of an airplane already in flight.
I mention all this to show my background extends far beyond a simple website portfolio, and to prove I am comfortable being the main engineer on something that matters. Twenty-five years in, I've been the person who builds it, the person who migrates it, and the person who gets called when it falls over at 2am. That last one shapes how I approach the first two.

React and TypeScript on the front, Python or Node behind it, Postgres/SQL underneath. Feature work on an existing codebase, or a service built from nothing. I ensure test coverage and leave the code readable by whoever comes next — which is frequently the point of bringing in a contractor rather than growing headcount.
Platform moves, CMS replacements, e-commerce re-platforming, and the unglamorous reconciliation work that decides whether a migration is a success or an incident. I've moved a thousand-page site without losing its inbound links and a catalogue of hundreds of products without losing its variants. The hard part is never the new system.
Payment gateways, CRMs, membership and directory systems, email platforms, third-party APIs with documentation of varying honesty. Most systems can talk to each other, but it's not always so easy. I'll help bridge the gap.
