Off Magento, onto a store the owners could actually run
A truck repair shop was stuck on a Magento store that was expensive to host, slow to load, and too complicated for anyone there to update. They needed hundreds of parts online without needing a developer on call.

The problem
TMS Diesel sells truck parts alongside its repair business. The storefront ran on Magento — powerful, but far heavier than a shop this size needed. It was costly to host, slow for customers, and complex enough that routine changes required paying someone. In practice that meant the catalog, and their website, went stale.
What I did
I rebuilt the site around a store the staff could operate themselves, and migrated off Magento entirely.
- Moved hundreds of products, including their size and fitment variations, without losing catalog structure.
- Rebuilt the storefront on a lighter stack that loaded fast on the phones their customers actually use, often from a truck bay.
- Kept the marketing side simple — service pages and a photo slider the shop could update without touching the store.
The result
The shop got a catalog its own staff could maintain and a site that loaded quickly for customers. It ran that way for about two years, until the business grew into Shopify for its e-commerce — a reasonable graduation, and one the migration work made straightforward.

TMS continued to use the WordPress site at tmsdiesel.com (opens in a new tab) for about five years, until they moved to Shopify. They had more advanced e-commerce needs that WordPress couldn’t easily solve.
